Our aim is to build fame and success to be the agency of first choice for Small Cap PLc
and Large SME organisations in the UK and internationally. We and currently work with c
100 brands including, Booking.com, Which?, YMCA, Just Eat, , Permanent TSB, Haynes,
WWF and Vinci.
Low&Behold is constantly looking to improve its EVP and we offer the option of a 9 day
working fortnight as well as flexible working, life cover, and 33 days leave (based on a 5
day week incl bank holidays).
Overall aim of the role:
We are looking for a talented content writer with a proven background in delivering
compelling social media copy to join our agency. You will seek to understand and
immerse yourself in our agency and our clients, and then write content for social
channels and beyond which is on brand, using the brand voice and is relevant and
compelling for the target audiences. We have an array of clients across both B2B and
B2C so being agile and quickly understanding different industries, brands and their
audiences is key.
The role requires someone with the ability to find stories and write for both short form
and long form from Instagram stories through to LinkedIn posts. Experience in blog
writing and longer form web and marketing copy gets you to the top of the line.
The role will involve research and writing original content for a range of channels and
uses through the marketing funnel. You must have strong experience writing for social
channels and an ability to flex tone of voice and approach to suit different brands. We
are looking for somebody who can grow to become a content expert across social and
potentially other content forms
Main responsibilities:
- Working with our social team and creative team to produce long and short-form
story-telling/copy for a variety of formats to an agreed brief - Understanding and researching clients, their industries and target audiences to
then write copy which is relevant and compelling - Writing content for different purposes – to inform, inspire, educate, producing
outputs that meet the desired brief objectives - Researching topics so their content contains timely and accurate information
- Liaising directly with client where needed to present and refine content
- Developing content plans alongside strategists to support a client’s communications objectives
- Determining content needs through conversations with clients and their representatives
- Creating compelling social headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience
- Revising existing content to reflect business changes or new preferences
- Creating or revising copy tone guides, either alone or with a team, to ensure all written content is effective and consistent
- Supporting strategy colleagues on projects to develop social tone of voice for clients helping them to align their overall brand and creative proposition with their wider written content output
- Support clients’ content efforts that raise their brand awareness and build its reputation
- Proofreading content and outputs for the team before they go to client
- Take complex or technical information and translate into well-balanced, persuasive and compelling content that can scale across multiple channels
- Create content narratives that can be repurposed Role Skills and attributes:
- A grade English language skills, a wide vocabulary and exquisite grammar, and the confidence to know when to throw out the rulebook
- Proven content writing experience gained working inhouse across multiple brands or within an agency
- Have a good understanding of commercial content and what stories will be attractive to which audiences
- Excellent editing skills
- An understanding of how to write content for a variety of digital channels
- An ability to flex your tone and approach to the written word in different scenarios and for different brands
- Strong history of crafting copy for campaigns
- Excellent portfolio – proven experience is essential for this role
